EXPANDED SOIL TESTING SERVICES

Outback Engineering is now offering soil testing laboratory services, as required by Title 5 for replacement sand and for soils in lieu of percolation tests. Soil sieve tests can be conducted on any sample you might have. TITLE 5 SIEVE ANALYSIS: · Testing of replacement sand from borrow pits · Samples may be tested prior to placement or after delivery to the site TITLE 5 PARTICLE SIZE ANALYSIS – ALTERNATIVE TO PERCOLATION TESTING · Complies with DEP’s Alternative to Percolation Testing Policy · Combined sieve and hydrometer test · Particle Size Analysis is performed utilizing methods of Gee and Bauder in Methods of Soil Analysis, 2nd Edition (1986) FEE SCHEDULE (fees must be paid in full prior to testing): · Sieve analysis $100.00 per test* · Particle size analysis (combined sieve and hydrometer) $140.00 per test* * Test fees are for samples dropped off at Outback’s office in Middleborough. If requested, we will retrieve samples from client’s site for an additional fee of $50.00 up to a 25-mile radius (add $50.00 if over 25-mile radius).
